Translations

Analysis

This is a translation of <-3, -1> because each x value of the pre-image ABCDE is subtracted by 3 and each y value is subtracted by 1, translating the figuring to the left 3 units and down 1 unit, forming the image A'B'C'D'E'. This is also a translation because each vertex moves the same direction and distance from the pre-image which is an essential part of translating a shape correctly. I also know this is a correct translation because if I connect point A to A', B to B', C to C', etc., forming a line, each of these lines has to be parallel to the my vector which is true in my image.
