Carpenter Building with Parallel Lines
- Anthony Dove
A carpenter sent his assistant to line up the wall studs (vertical boards) in my house. In doing so, all three studs were supposed to be parallel to each other and the walls. However, the assistant did not properly nail in the studs, and they shifted overnight. Using only the angle tool, help my carpenter re-align the studs. You can only use the angle tool where it fits between the walls/studs and the diagonal support. You MAY NOT use the floor or ceiling. 1) Explain how you aligned each stud and what properties you used. 2) How could you have used the ceiling and floor to help you align the studs?
