1. Change the slider ''base'' to (i) values greater than 1 and (ii) values between 0 and 1. 2. The ''Grid'' checkbox can be used if you want to show the point (2,1) is on the graph of the function log_2(x). 3. The ''Transformation'' checkbox can be used to show the points A and A'. A' is the image of A under axial symmetry in the line y=x. 4. There are questions to ask in relation to this file on pages 26 and 27 of the Workshop 7 booklet. 5. Can students sketch [math]g(x)=log_3(x)[/math] ? 6. Can students complete the matching activity on page 29 of the Workshop 7 booklet? 7. [math]1^x = y[/math] has no solution except when y = 1, so we cannot take logs to base 1.
