Ethnomathematics: Rotation in Jepara Carving

In the application of the concept of rotation, this occurs in the process of drawing a pattern on carving media (wood) so that the nature of rotation occurs in the results of the engraving. In the process of making a pattern image on the carving media, the engraver rotates the pattern that has been made so that the second pattern and so on becomes a pattern with a different position arround some point, but contains the same carved motif which will produce a complete carved motif. For example, we can be seen in the following image.
