Area Example 2

Step one: multiply the height and length of the parallelogram Step 2: Find the line AB's slope and use its rise and run (how far up the y-axis and how far right on the x-axis) Step 3: then divide the value by 2 Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for lines BC, CD, AD Step 5: add up the values from steps 2-4 Step 6: Take the value from step one and subtract it from step 5
Answer: AB: 1.5 BC: 3 CD: 1.5 DA: 3 All those added up is 9 Height x Length = 20 20-9 = 11 Area = 11
