Why use the 3D printer?
The aim is to have students create truncated prisms to have another dimension of forces and to have them create exercises for each other. These exercises and examples can be reused.
How can a 3D printer be operated?
3D files for a 3D printer can be downloaded from Geogebra.
The 3D files should exist as STL files and then a so called slicer software creates 3D printable slices out of the 3D object. 3D printers often come with a slicer software - the STL file can often be added by drag and drop.
These slices are saved in a so called GCODE file.
This GCODE file can often be put onto a USB stick of some sort that can be fed to a 3D printer.
