Spherical triangles

Task

Create a triangle on a sphere. Explore the construction and learn how to create spherical triangles with GeoGebra 3D Calculator. Then try it yourself by following the instructions below.

Instructions

1.In the Algebra View enter and the command into the Input Bar.
2.Select the sphere in the 3D Graphics View and choose  Color in the appearing Style Bar to change the spheres color.
3.Open the Settings and deselect Show Axes and Show Plane to hide the axes and the plane.
4.Switch to the Tools View.
5.Toolbar ImageSelect the Point tool and create three points B, C and D on the sphere.
6.Toolbar ImageUse the Circular Arc tool to first select center A and then B and C. Repeat this step twice with the other points to create a spherical triangle (always select point A first).
7.Toolbar ImageUse the Move tool to drag the points on the sphere to explore your construction.
