Constructing a Translation
Use the written directions or the silent film to help you make your own construction.
Directions
1. Click on the Polygon tool to create any Polygon.
Hint: To close the Polygon, connect it to your first point.
2. Select the Translate by Vector tool.
4. Use the Distance or Length tool to find the distance between the points on our pre-image to the points on our image.
2. Select the Translate by Vector tool.
- Click on the shaded region of your polygon.
- Click anywhere on the workspace to place the "initial point" of your vector.
- Move your mouse & click anywhere on the workspace again to place the "terminal point" of your vector.
4. Use the Distance or Length tool to find the distance between the points on our pre-image to the points on our image.
