Circular Triangle

For any circle, if the chords intersect, the products of the segments of each chord are equal. This can also be viewed as a property of circles. Similarly, for any triangle, the products of the segments of each altitude are also equal! Triangles are also quite "circular", isn't it? What would happen if the points of intersection are outside the shapes?
