Describing Transformations Rotation - Turns every point around a point, clockwise or counterclockwise a given degree of rotation Reflection - Flips each point over a given line of reflection. Translation - Slide every point in the same direction at the same distance. Dilation - Multiply each point by the given Scale Factor

Choose Rotation. Move the slider at the bottom. What do you notice? How are the object and image the same ? How are they different?

Choose Reflection. Move the red points labeled "slide." What do you notice? Compare the object and image as the sliders move. What stays the same? What is different?

Choose Dilation. What happens to the image as you move the slider? How is this transformation different from reflections and rotations?

Choose Translation. Move the horizontal and vertical sliders. How does the image change?
