Minor and Major Arc

Observe the arcs formed in Circle A above.

In Circle A, Arc DC has an arc that measures 112.27. This arc is called a minor arc. A minor arc is an arc on the circle whose measure is less than 180 degrees. On the other hand, Arc BC is a major arc, because it measures more than 180 degrees.
