This applet can be used to model arithmetic of integers with two color counters. The yellow "chips" represent +1, and the red "chips" represent -1. The tool bar and input bar are available so that text and other tools can be used to model problems such as the example showing -3 + 2 = -1.
Use the two color counters to model the following:
1. 2 + 3
2. -2 + 3
3. 3 + (-4)
4. -2 + (-3)
5. 3 - 2
6. 2 - 3
7. -2 - (-1)
8. -1 - 4
9. 1 - (-2)
10. 2(3)
11. 2(-3)
