The Goodness of Fit Test with the TI 83/84 Calculator
- David Gurney
The following applet shows some examples of how to use a TI83 or TI84 calculator (plus or no plus) to run the chi-square goodness of fit test when all the outcomes are equally likely. Move the DataSet slider to choose a different data set. Move the Confidence slider to change the confidence. Move the Step slider to work through each step of the procedure.
These problems are based on Example 4, page 556-58, and problems 15 and 17 on page 561 of Sullivan's "Fundamentals of Statistics", 2nd edition, Pearson Education, Inc. 2008.
