MTH 254 Adding Vectors in Two Dimensions

The applet can be used to demonstrate the geometric addition of two vectors.
  • The vectors can be moved around.
  • The sliders will show the resultant vector obtained by adding the two vectors.
  • Compare the resultant vectors obtained by adding the vectors in either order.
Note: Since vectors can be freely moved, they can be moved to start at the same position (to make it easier to visualize). To do this, push the "Combine Initial" button, and check "Show Both" to see both at the same time.
