How many revolutions ?

Wahooz go cart track for measuring and calculating the Number of revolutions-

1.) Measuring the distance around the track

How can you measure the distance around the track using a. the scale in the bottom right corner b. the measure tool and c. the diameter of a circle to estimate the corner distances? Explain fully

2. The wheel and tire size

If a wheel is 10 inches in diameter and there are 2.54 cm per inch. What is the diameter in centimeters?

3. The distance traveled in one rotation

Now that we know the diameter in cm lets use that to find the distance the go cart travels with one rotation of the wheel(in cm).

4.) How far will the go cart travel?

a.) In 10 rotations of the tire? b. ) In 100 rotations of the tire?

5.) The distance around the track?

Now using the track image provided find the approximate distance around the track using the middle of the curves as a guide for your measurements and the curves as 1/2, 1/4, or 3/4 of a circle.

6.) How many rotations?

About how many rotations will the go cart wheel make when it travels one time around the track?

7.) Distance, speed and time

If the go wheel rotates at a rate of once per second how long will it take to go around the track?

8. ) Distance, speed and time

If the go cart wheel rotates 10 times per second how long will it take for the go cart to travel around the track?

9.) Distance, speed and time

If the go cart is traveling at 18 miles per hour. How long will it take for the go cart to travel around the track?

10.) Rotations and time

If the go cart is traveling at 18 miles per hour. How many times per second will the tires be rotating?
