Right Triangle Trigonometry: Intro
Directions:
1) Use the sliding bar in the top left corner of the applet below and chose an angle between 15° and 40°.
2) Check the first box. The ratio "Opp/Hyp" should appear.
3) Record the ratio.
4) Grab one of the white colored vertices of the triangle and drag it around, making a larger or smaller triangle. DO NOT CHANGE THE ANGLE.
5) Record the ratio for Opp/Hyp again.
6) What do you notice? Why is this happening?
Repeat this process for the other two types of rations: Adj/Hyp and Opp/Adj
