Midsegment of a Triangle
- I first created a triangle.
- Then I used the midpoint tool to find the midpoint of each edge of the triangle.
- Connected the midsegments using the line segment tool.
- Found the slopes of each edge and segment to verify that the midsegments are parallel to the third side.
- Found the distance between the midsegements is half the distance of the third side.
- I color coded each midsegment with its third side for clarification both in the picture and within the slope and distance as part of my verification.
