Area Blocks (5 Figures & Rectangle)

Drag unit squares and pieces of unit squares to find the area of each of 5 figures, or create your own figure using the pieces (uncheck the Figure box in the upper left corner). Rotate or reflect pieces using the transformation box on the right side of the screen. Stamp a shape and reuse the same pieces. Show and modify a rectangle on the grid to help find the area of a figure.
Similar apps with different features are also available from EDC in Maine, including Area Blocks (5 Figures), which is nearly the same as this app but does not have the resizable rectangle, and Area Blocks (Triangle), which has only 1 figure (a triangle) to fill.
