Plotting Multiple Numbers on a Number Line

The following activity explores plotting two numbers. The first number is either a proper fraction or mixed number. The second number is always an improper fraction.
- Use the slider to find a common denominator. This will create the appropriate number of tick marks needed to accurately plot both numbers on the number line. Note: There may be more than one option that works!
- Move A on the number line. You will get a message of "Good Job!" when you accurately place A on the number line.
- Move B on the number line. You will get a message of "Good Job!" when you accurately place B on the number line.
- Click the "Refresh" button to try a new set of numbers.
