Rotation

This shows the 90 degree rotation of an irregular polygon around point F. A rotation is A figure that moves around a fixed point called the center of rotation. Each vertex must move the same direction and degree around the center of rotation. Each vertex must be the same distance from the center. To construct a rotation without the use of a coordinate plane you must draw a line from the center of rotation to one of the shapes vertices and then place a protractor on the line and draw a line from the center of rotation to the degree of rotation on the protractor. The line must be the same length as the line from the vertices of the pre-image to the center of rotation. Then you must repeat these steps for each other vertice.
