Oval shapes aren't just used in architecture.
One morning breakfast in a hotel, just on the day I would do a guiding tour in a Bavarian church in the South of Germany, I lookes into a coffee pot an noticed that the top edge of is had the same shape as the church: an oval one can draw with 4 circular arcs.
