The fourth film in Legendary’s monster saga brings back Kyle Chandler (Netflix’s Bloodline) and Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), playing a father and daughter introduced in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Joining them are Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Rebecca Hall (star of the 2016 drama Christine), Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies), Eiza González (Baby Driver), and Lance Reddick (John Wick).
Directed by Adam Wingard, best known for horror films like You’re Next (a kind of mumblecore slasher comedy, and a must-see at that), other details about Godzilla vs. Kong are scarce. But we know the titular titans will do battle aboard an aircraft carrier in the ocean, as glimpsed in the movie’s trailer, and that they’re apparently the last survivors of an ancient war.
