Rotate the curve in 3-dimensional space to see a circle from one vantage point and a square from the opposite vantage point.
The curve, which consists of the arcs of four parabolas, is formed by intersecting a circular cone and a square cone. Note that we cannot see the circle-square illusion very well in this applet because the viewer's "eye" is not in the correct location.
