POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE NUMBERS
- Zero (0): This is the center of the number line. It's neither positive nor negative. Think of it as your starting point!
- Positive Numbers: These are numbers greater than zero. They are located to the right of zero on the number line (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4...). The further right you go, the larger the number.
- Negative Numbers: These are numbers less than zero. They are located to the left of zero on the number line (e.g., -1, -2, -3, -4...). The further left you go, the smaller the number.
art 4: Questions for Discussion / Quiz (GeoGebra Apt)These questions are designed to encourage critical thinking and can be explored using an interactive number line tool (like the simulation above, or GeoGebra if you have access to it).
This lesson plan provides a structured approach to teaching the number line, combining visual learning with interactive practice and critical thinking.
