Bij de equidistante kegelprojectie worden de breedtegraden op gelijke afstand van elkaar uitgezet. De keuze van de breedtegraden waarop de kegel de aardbol snijdt, bepaalt de afstandsgetrouwe breedtegraden op de kaart en de hoek van de cirkelsector.
In the equidistant conical projection the circles of latitude are drawn equidistant. The choice of the latitudes on which the cone intersects the globe determines the distant-true latitudes on the map and the top angle of the circle sector.
