Alec Contreras rectangle FINAL

How to build a rectangle 1. Construct a segment AB 2. Make a parallel line to AB 3. construct a perpendicular line to segment AB and point A 5. With the intersections between point A and the parallel line to segment AB label a point of intersection C 6. Construct a segment between point A and C 7. Make a line parallel to AC starting at point A and ending at point B 8.Now find the intersection point for the point perpendicular to line f and the line parallel to segment AC label that point D 9. Construct a segment BD 10. Make a perependicular bisector between points A and point C and another between point A and B to show congruence 11. Make angles between segments AC and AB and do it for the rest of the three vertices to get 90 degrees on each one. Why this is a rectangle 1.The segments AB and CD are parallel to each other 2. In order to get the ninety degree angles I had to use a perependicular line segment to point A, and because it was perpendicualr i was able to replicate with a line parallel to it by ending it on point B. 3. Now we have four vertices that are congruent and at a right angle of ninety degrees 4. In order to show that the opposite sides are congruent the diagonal segment AD and CB create angles that show congruence so therefore by Side Angle Side theorem
