Constructing a parabola

A parabola is equidistant from a fixed point (called the focus) and a line (called the directrix). To see that we can construct the perpendicular bisector between the focus and a point on the line. Then as we move the point (and have the trace option on to see all of the bisectors), the shape of te parabola will come out.
