Mr G Mirror Workshop
This workshop provides an experience with actual mirrors and the mathematical modeling of how light rays
form images. We will experience some physics, some mathematics, and some GeoGebra. There will be encounters with what is real and what is virtual. Plan to be surprised by some simple demonstrations and most of all expect to have some fun during an intriguing experience.
Glenn Govertsen is “Mr G” and that was how he was known during his 31 years of teaching high school
physics in Missoula, Montana. During that time he was also awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching, the Tandy Technology Scholars Award, the Whitman College Outstanding Secondary Teacher Award and the Montana Science Teacher’s Association Award for physics. Besides his experience
in classroom teaching he became best known for his exciting physics demonstrations and workshops.
