Constructing Perpendicular Lines

Constructing a Perpendicular Line to a Given Line and a Given Point Not on the Line

1. Place a point (D) below both C and segment AB. 2. Using the length from C to D, construct a circle with the center at point C. 3. Use the intersection tool to label the intersections (E & F) of the circle with segment AB. 4. Now draw 2 more circles using the same length from C to D. Center one circle at E and the other at F. 5. Draw the perpendicular line through C and the intersection of circles E and F.
