Step Through Goodness of Fit Test
- David Gurney
The following applets shows some examples of how to run the chi-square goodness of fit test when all the outcomes are equally likely. Move the DataSet slider to choose a different data set. Move the Confidence slider to choose a different confidence level. Move the Step slider to work through the problem one step at a time.
These problems are based on Example 4, page 556-58, and problems 15 and 17 on page 561 of Sullivan's "Fundamentals of Statistics", 2nd edition, Pearson Education, Inc. 2008. This applet was updated November 20, 2013.
