Megan's Spiral

Megan Schmidt got playing around with number patterns charted out on a square number spiral to see what visual pattern results. Super fun and very mathematical. Read more: intro & magnum opus. M controls how many numbers in your sequence given by the function rule, f(1) to f(M). The in number lets you locate a particular value. The command to find spot n in the spiral is spiralspot[n]. Hint: one of the neatest patterns Megan found is with the figurate numbers, triangular, pentagonal, etc. Cf. MathWorld
