Area Relationships Circles
- Nurko Porović
Below you can see three circles with the radii r, r/2, and 2 r. You can use the slider to change the lenght r of the radius.
1. Calculate the areas of the circles for r = 1. Come up with a conjecture about the relationship between the length of the radius and the area of the three circles. 2. Use the slider to change the radius r. Again, calculate the areas of the circles and check your conjecture about the relationship. 3. Proof that your conjecture is true for all circles whose radii are r, r/2, and 2 r. Hint: Express the areas of these circles and compare them.
