5.2 Task - Angle Bisectors

Construct ray AB. Construct AC. Show the labels of points A, B, and C. Construct the angle bisector of angle BAC. Drag point B or C to make sure it is an angle bisector. Hide points B and C. Construct point D on the angle bisector in the interior of the angle. Construct a perpendicular line from point D to one of the sides of the original angle. Construct the point of intersection, point E. Construct another perpendicular line from point D to the other side of the angle. Construct the point of intersection, point F. Use the construct polygon tool to construct triangles AED and AFD. Show the measures of sides DE, DF and AE, AF. Move points A and D to answer the questions below.
