Behavior of Functions at their Zeros

As the graph of a function approaches real zeros, the behavior of the line changes in relation to how close the function is to the x-axis. if the multiplicity of the zero is 1 -- the graph crosses through its coordinate (c, 0) even -- the graph is tangent to the x-axis and bounces or turns at c odd > 1 -- the graph is tangent to the x-axis and crosses at (c,0)
