Pythagorean triples map

15/8/17 is/was a #PythagoreanDay

This map shows all the right triangles with integer sides (a,b,c) in a certain range. They have been rescaled so that they all have a hypotenuse of 1. These (a,b,c) are known as pythagorean triples. Euclid found the three fromulas given for a, b, c to generate all these triples in terms of two integer parameters m and n with m>n. Use the sliders to choose m and n and see the corresponding right triangle.
