Line traversing parallel lines

Author:
Matt Skoss
Below is a line that traverses (cuts across) a pair of parallel lines. Use the angle measuring tool to mark the following angles. As you mark them, keep focused on 'mathematical properties' that you notice. When you've marked them all, try dragging the traversing line at point E or F, and see what changes, and what stayes the same.
Mark these angles: 1. Angle BFH and Angle DEF 2. Angle CEG and Angle DEF 3. Angle AFE and Angle FEC 4. Angle DEF and Angle AFE Talk to your partner, and write several sentences about what you notice.
