Project 2: Maximizing Area of a Farmer Pen

Explanation for why the sketch works

This sketch works because the perimeter AB stays a constant of 12.02, which is the maximum amount of material that can be used to build the pen. Using the intersecting circles, they can form a rectangle shape that is the maximum amount of the material available, giving the biggest option possible. The pen will not exceed the measure of 12.02 in this way.
