Tanton Triangle #3

Author:
Steve Phelps
p & q each chosen at random from [0,100]. Then p% of a stick is broken off, then q% of what remains broken off. Prob 3 pieces make a triangle? Click on the "play" button in the lower left corner. This simulates 100 pairs of percentages. The x-axis is the p% and the y-axis is the corresponding q%. Approximately 42% of the pairs do not produce a triangle. The points that show do produce a triangle.
