Standard Form- Description

The Standard form equation of a line is Ax + By = C. Standard form is like Slope- Intercept form except you put Y and X on the same side. This is done by subtracting mx from both sides. Now it ends up with the equation, -mx + y = b. The coefficient of the x-term should be a positive integer value, so you multiply the entire equation by an integer value that will make the coefficient positive, as well as, all of the coefficients integers. This will give the standard form: Ax + By = C.
