Instructions: 1. Enter any function you like in the text box. e.g. x^2, exp(x), ln(x), sin(x) 2. Uncheck 'enter function' after entering the function to check if your input has been successfully recognized. 3. Hold down 'shift' and drag to adjust the view if necessary. You can also adjust the scale by holding down 'shift' and drag the axis. 4. Depending on your needs, select 'show point coordinates' and/or 'show tangent' and/or 'show slope of tangent' to aid your understanding. 5. Drag the red point along the blue curve and observe how the slope of the blue line varies at different point on the curve, as indicated by the pink point / trace. You may use left or right arrows to navigate the red point too. 6. Select 'show derivative function'. Notice that all of the pink trace will fit on the derivative function. *Notice that, the derivative of a function is a function of the derivatives at all points on the curve. 7. Click clear trace, check 'enter function', then repeat steps 1 to 6 if necessary.
