You will be rotating the triangle and the quadrilateral and look for patterns in the preimage coordinates and the image coordinates. Predict first and then rotate. For each case, what rule can you conclude? Reset after each question. 1) Rotate each figure counterclockwise by 90° about the origin? Looking at the preimage coordinates and the image coordinates, what rule can you conclude? 2) Rotate each figure counterclockwise by 180° about the origin? Looking at the preimage coordinates and the image coordinates, what rule can you conclude? 3) Rotate each figure counterclockwise by 270° about the origin? Looking at the preimage coordinates and the image coordinates, what rule can you conclude? 4) Rotate each figure counterclockwise by 360° about the origin? Looking at the preimage coordinates and the image coordinates, what rule can you conclude?
Would it be easy to find a rule for any degree? Why or why not?
