Visualizing the Derivative of the Inverse
- Tom Ahlschwede
Here is a function that doesn't have an inverse. The inverse is shown using the locus of points (y(A),x(A)), switching x and y. Then the tangent lines are drawn at the given point and the corresponding point on the inverse. Observe the slopes of the two lines. Perhaps, is there a relationship between these slopes?
Yes. Yes there is.
