The River

The Picture is called "The River." I chose this name because it reminds me of a river flowing back and forth along with blue and green colors. to get the blue color i set red at 0, green at 0, and blue at k so blue would be the only color it would be. To make the aqua color, I set red and green relatively high with blue at a lower number, this would cause the blue to be changed in relation to the green and red, making it aqua. The parent functions I used were f(x)= x^2 and g(x)= x^3. In both functions i put an "a" slider in in the front of x^2 to make it wider and narrower, and also cause it to flip. I added an h with the x^2 and x^3 so it became (x-h)^2 and (x-h)^3 respectively. This "h" slider would allow the function to move horizontally. Finally, I added a "k" slider so that the function would also have a vertical shift. the horizontal and vertical changes, in addition to the change in width gives the function a "flowing" motion and along with the blue based colors, looks like a river
