Solving a 3D Linear System Using Elementary Matrices
- John Prince
Five 3x3 matrices have been positioned in the spreadsheet. Each has been initialized to be the identity matrix. Using the spreadsheet. enter the numbers that will row-reduce the equations with the intent of solving only for the third variable. A combination of the matrices will be updated as you solve the system.
The linear system can be changed with the expectation the linear system will have a point of intersection. Any other solutions will be completed separately.
