CCSS TP Algebra I 1.5.4 Example 4

Solve the equation .
  1. Isolate the term that contains the variable.
  2. Find a common base for both sides of the equation, if one exists.
  3. Rewrite the equation so that both sides have the same base.
  4. Solve for x by setting the exponents equal to each other.
  5. Check your answer.
