Step 3: Creating a Star in the Middle

Pay attention during this step! If you go too quickly or skip a step, it will mess up how the second shape in the center of the hexagon comes out.
1. Find the midpoints of each line you created in the previous step. You should end up with 12 points.
2. On the lines that extend from the center to VERTICES (not to the sides of the hexagon), find the midpoint of the line from the vertex to the midpoint you just created.
3. Connect the lower (closer to the outside/hexagon) points from the vertice lines to the midpoint of the other lines you created.
This should create alternating lengths around the hexagon, making a star in the middle of the hexagon.
