Skylight Polarization

Author:
Olivier Morel
The clear sky provides polarized light according to the Rayleigh scattering model. The degree and angle of polarization measured at a celestial point C is related to the Sun position, the angle of scattering and the plane of scattering defined by O C and Sun. The electric vector is represented by $\vec E$ and is orthogonal to the plane of scattering.
