Exploring on a Sphere

In 'explore' mode you can see the effect rotating the polar axis
of the sphere around its center. Vary the the two sliders in the left
hand window.
In 'two points on a sphere' mode you can explore great circles
on the sphere. Place the two points whereever you like on the sphere
see the great circle determined by the position of the points.
