The inverse of the Exponential Function is the Logarithmic Function and vice versa. This study is designed to allow an exploration of these functions and demonstrate they are inverses.
1. Start by selecting the Exp check box, record coordinates for each of the following bases 2, 3, 4 with x-values of 1, 2, 3. (Keep a slider at 1.)
2. Next, select only the Log check box, record coordinates for each of the following bases 2, 3, 4 with x-values of 1, 2, 3. (Keep a slider at 1.)
3. Repeat 1 & 2 with a-values of 1, 2, 3.
{see handout}

Use the sliders to explore the graphs of the functions. The base steps by 0.5 and the coefficient b steps from -5 to 5 by 0.25.
The "inv" check boxes turn on the inverse point Point A or B, this allows an alternate investigation the inverse functions.
