Exponents and Logarithms a Study of Inverses

The inverse of the Exponential Function is the Logarithmic Function and vice versa. This study is designed to allow an exploration of these functions and demonstrate they are inverses. 1. Start by selecting the Exp check box, record coordinates for each of the following bases 2, 3, 4 with x-values of 1, 2, 3. (Keep a slider at 1.) 2. Next, select only the Log check box, record coordinates for each of the following bases 2, 3, 4 with x-values of 1, 2, 3. (Keep a slider at 1.) 3. Repeat 1 & 2 with a-values of 1, 2, 3. {see handout}
