Helical Toroid

(or should I have titled this Toroidal Helix?) After learning how a unit circle on the 2D x-y plane may be parameterized as (x,y)=(cos(t), sin(t)), extend the shape into 3D. What if the radius R of this circle varied sinusoidally along the path orbiting the origin? → Drag slider r to nonzero values → Drag slider N to different values What if the curve rises out of the 2D x-y plane sinusoidally to create a 3D shape? → Drag slider "make3D" to nonzero values In addition to using pre-set "view" buttons, click/drag or use touchscreen gestures to adjust 3D viewing perspective.
